Mermaid Pirate and Mary?!

Updated: Feb 23, 2020

Dressing up and makeup are my passions in life so you know I will be LIVING for such holidays like Carnival and Halloween! These are my looks for Carnival 2020!

The Mermaid Pirate is, of course, a stunning mix of a pirate and a mermaid. The outfit features mint glitter tulle as well as green tulle some with holographic sparkles. The pencil skirt with blue scales shows off the mermaid side of the character as well as the gorgeous bra. The bra has a pearl in the middle and various golden pears flowing down the middle. The cups are covered in purple honeycomb lycra making the piece stand out. The boots, the bandana and the shirt are reminiscent of pirate attire and the pastel flowers are there to express beauty. The makeup is very much on the sea theme with blues, purples and greens.

My take on the modern Virgin Mary is both exquisite and artistic. Red, gold and black are the main three colours on both the outfit and makeup palette. The piece features a long red tulle skirt at the back as well as a short red tulle skirt going around. The top shows off the Immaculate Heart, as well as the rays, made up of gold sequence. The top also features red tulle sleeves and red tulle around the neck and chest area. The red flowers on my head are very beautiful. The little black flowers for the Virgin's halo giving it that signature divine touch. The makeup was extravagant but not too much. The heels elevate the look with the shiny white pearls on the side.

Hope you enjoyed my looks! The last look is a bit controversial but it is not meant to ridicule or disrespect anyone. I just found the saint to be iconic and decided to do my own artistic twist on the look.

Sandy hugs and salty kisses,

Neville xx
